Eunices in May, Thomas in July

First Posting for the AshtonEuniceFamily blog

This blog is primarily for posting family pictures so other folks can see how our grandkids are growing. We get such a kick out of seeing others' family pictures, we thought we'd give it a go.

Today in South Louisiana it is hot and muggy, and sunshine is pouring all over everything. The zinnias in the back yard are five feet tall, the KnockOut Roses are doing pretty well, and a few gardenias have bloomed. Daylilies, plumbago, and a pretty nice bed of red and white impatiens seem to be the others that are blooming in this heat. Oh, and lemons on the Lemon Tree, two just about ready to pick. After a glorious month of heavy and almost daily rains, we've hit a dry spell, so I was out there watering last night and this morning.

Summer is the Birthday Season around here, and we've had Gabe's (4), William's (34), Audrey's (3), Phoebe's (30) and we are now left with Benjamin's (6). The babies have broken the pattern, and in the same month: Peter and Thomas were born in February this year. Gramp and Granny are October and April, MawMaw and PawPaw are October and June, and Great Grandma in May, so that does it for the birthdays. One day I may post the exact dates, who knows?

All this talk of birthdays reminds me I'm 63, which gives me the rather nice option of slowing down instead of rushing all over the place like I used to. I'm hoping that gives me time to keep this blog going. Could be a handy diary for family doings.

Now, to see if pictures work on this thing.
